This Veterans Day, Texas First Rentals is proud to honor Leo Fuentes, a dedicated Haul Truck Driver whose journey exemplifies resilience, dedication, and the spirit of service. From serving in the Marines to making an impact here at Texas First Rentals, Leo's story is one of commitment to both his family and his career.
Leo's military journey began at just 16 years old, inspired by the film Black Hawk Down. "That movie left a huge impression on me. It's the reason I joined the military, and my parents had to sign the contract since I was still a teenager," he recalls. Serving in the Marines instilled discipline, independence, and a strong work ethic—qualities that continue to drive him today. "The military taught me how to work alone and stay focused, skills that have helped me succeed at Texas First Rentals."
After leaving the military, Leo found a natural transition into his role at Texas First Rentals. "The skills I learned in the Marines, like working independently and staying disciplined, are things I use every day here," Leo shares. His commitment to excellence and passion for growth are evident in his work. "There’s always room to grow at TFR, and I appreciate that about the company."
Outside of work, Leo is a devoted family man. Married for 16 years, he and his wife are raising two children: an 11-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. On weekends, Leo can often be found coaching his son's baseball team or cheering on his daughter during her volleyball games. "My perfect weekend would be watching my son play baseball, my daughter play volleyball, and ending the day with a family cookout," he says with a smile.
As we celebrate Veterans Day, we take a moment to recognize Leo Fuentes—not only for his service to our country but for his continued dedication to Texas First Rentals. Thank you, Leo, for your hard work, your leadership, and the example you set for us all.
