For our November Employee Spotlight, we’re introducing Cory Rushton, Branch Service Manager at Texas First Rentals. Since joining the company in early 2019, Cory has demonstrated an inspiring commitment to growth, teamwork, and customer service. He’s been a valuable member of the team, and we’re excited to share more about his journey, passions, and accomplishments.
Cory's path at Texas First Rentals has been nothing short of impressive. Starting as a Shop Tech in early 2019, he quickly advanced. By mid-2020, Cory had completed his training and began working as a Field Technician. After several years in that role, he was promoted to Branch Service Manager in January 2024. His hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn have earned him respect and recognition throughout the company. With his sixth work anniversary coming up in February 2025, Cory’s commitment to excellence continues to leave a lasting impact.
One of the aspects Cory appreciates most about his role is the opportunity to learn and mentor others. He takes pride in the strong team dynamic at the Fate location, where everyone is dedicated to supporting each other and achieving their goals. "We have a healthy, happy work environment where everyone gets along and is always willing to help each other out," Cory shares. His enthusiasm for continuous learning, coupled with his dedication to his team, helps create an environment where everyone can thrive.
When he's off the clock, Cory is all about family and the outdoors. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Ashley, and their two sons, Bentley (14) and Trent (11). The family loves being outside—whether it's cheering on Bentley and Trent at their football games, enjoying weekends at the lake, or heading to drag racing events. Cory is also a hands-on project enthusiast who loves building cars, trucks, motorcycles, and side-by-sides, turning any weekend into a new adventure in creativity and craftsmanship.
