At Texas First Rentals, excellence often shows up in the day-to-day details—and that’s where Jose Perez Gonzalez shines. As a Shipping Coordinator, Jose plays a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly across the company. Every morning, he ensures the branch supply shuttle orders are pulled and ready, eliminating delays for drivers and helping our teams get what they need on time.
But it’s not just about timeliness—it’s about ownership. Jose is constantly looking for ways to grow in his role. He asks questions, looks for areas of improvement, and adapts with the bigger picture in mind. Whether it's finding a substitute for an out-of-stock item or reorganizing his workflow for better efficiency, Jose leads with responsibility and commitment. He understands that his work has a ripple effect throughout the supply division, and he takes that responsibility seriously.
What he enjoys most about his role? The challenge. With more than 18,000 square feet of warehouse space to manage, knowing exactly where each item is located and how to ship it in the shortest time possible keeps him on his toes—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Jose takes pride in how far he’s come professionally, but even more in the confidence and skills he’s been able to pass on to others. “Helping my team become more effective and seeing them grow—that’s the accomplishment I’m most proud of,” he shared.
Outside of work, Jose stays grounded in what matters most: family and quality time. He and his wife are raising four daughters together, along with their dog and one mischievous cat. On weekends, you’ll often find him in front of the grill, cooking up BBQ ribs or steak for family and friends. It’s his favorite way to unwind and connect with the people he loves most.
“I feel very satisfied and grateful,” he said. “I’m surrounded by beautiful people.”
