At Texas First Rentals, we proudly celebrate the veterans whose unwavering dedication, teamwork, and commitment continue to make a lasting impact on our team. This Veterans Day, we’re honored to spotlight Migdoel Vazquez-Ortiz, a Shop Service Technician whose military service has deeply influenced his career and approach to work.
Migdoel's journey into the military was driven by a sense of duty and a desire for personal growth. "I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself,” he reflects. The military offered him the opportunity to challenge himself, experience diverse cultures, and develop a broader perspective. The camaraderie and bonds he formed during his service have left a lasting impression. “The best thing that can ever happen to you is being part of a team that would give everything for you," Migdoel says, a sentiment that continues to resonate in his role at Texas First Rentals.
His time in the Army equipped him with a meticulous work ethic and the ability to manage complex systems under pressure. As a mechanic at Texas First Rentals, Migdoel applies these skills daily. "The discipline and attention to detail I developed in the military ensure that I approach every task with precision and care," he shares. His problem-solving abilities and technical expertise have become indispensable assets to the team.
Yet, for Migdoel, the job is about more than just mechanics—it's about the teamwork and continuous learning that comes with it. "At Texas First Rentals, it's the blend of teamwork and innovation that I enjoy most. We tackle diverse challenges together, and there’s always something new to learn," he explains.
Outside of work, Migdoel is a devoted family man. He cherishes time spent with his wife and two children, ages 23 and 15, finding joy in simple moments like movie nights, board games, and family barbecues. A passionate cook, Migdoel loves creating new recipes and sharing meals with his loved ones, finding happiness in the connections made around the dinner table.
Migdoel's dedication to his family, his work, and his country exemplifies the values of service, commitment, and integrity that are central to Texas First Rentals. His journey from Army veteran to key member of our team is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of military service on personal and professional growth.
