This Veterans Day, Texas First Rentals proudly highlights Cirilo Segovia, a dedicated leader in our South Austin branch, whose commitment to service extends beyond his military career into his role as a branch manager. Cirilo's journey, from serving in the U.S. Marine Corps to leading a team at Texas First Rentals, is a testament to the enduring values of leadership, teamwork, and community.
Cirilo's passion for service began at a young age. "I always wanted to join the military," he says. “I wanted to be part of the best, so I joined the Marine Corps.” His decision led him to serve around the world, including a tour in Iraq, where the experiences shaped both his character and future career.
"The Marines taught me essential lessons about leadership and unit cohesion,” Cirilo reflects. “As a branch manager, I apply what I learned as a small unit leader, continuing to grow those skills every day." At Texas First Rentals, Cirilo thrives on the daily challenges and the opportunity to develop his team. "The best part is working with a great group of people from all kinds of backgrounds," he adds.
Outside of work, Cirilo is equally committed to his family. He and his wife, high school sweethearts, are celebrating 15 years of marriage this November. Together, they have three children: Alicia, a high school junior, Avan, 11, and Abram, 9. Whether supporting Alicia in color guard and theater or encouraging Avan and Abram in their newfound love for chess and dirt biking, Cirilo values family time above all.
In his spare time, Cirilo enjoys unwinding with his family through activities like bowling, go-kart racing, or movie nights at home. You’ll also often find him cruising the Texas Hill Country on his motorcycle, making the most of the open road with his wife and friends.
Cirilo's story is a powerful reminder of the leadership and dedication that veterans bring to their workplaces and communities long after their military service. His journey from the Marine Corps to Texas First Rentals embodies resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
